Camera manual

These are the tools I used to ink in my drawings: black ink and a dip pen.

I drew quite a few different styles of cameras. Here's a picture of a drawing that wasn't very good.

After drawing all my symbols in pencil I then inked them to make them bolder for when I scanned them in.
After experimenting with lots of different styles of cameras, I eventually decided to use this one for my manual.

After scanning in my inked drawings, I adjusted the levels to make them black and white as the scanner made my drawings look quite grey.

I then arranged my front and back drawings of a camera so that they would be the front and back page of my manual.

Next, I started adding in all of my hand drawn symbols, changing the opacity of some of them.

Next, I added text which was information on all the camera symbols I had drawn.

This is the text I decided to use for my manual, it's called Linowrite.

And Finally I added colour and was ready to print.

After cutting out my manual using a cutting board and a craft knife, this is the end result:

Business card

First I started off by creating a draft, I decided to use black and white stripes for the background to add contrast to my design. By making the text a bright red/pink colour it stands out very well against the background. I then found a black and white striped image on the internet and copied that into Photoshop. After doing that, I drew a circle in the centre of my business card template and added text in the middle. On the back, instead of drawing another circle shape and filling it white, I drew a recatangular shape and filled it black. This added more contrast within my design. I added text in the black shape (contact details etc.) and then printed it off.

After printing it off I then cut them so they were the right size and shape.

Here is the finish piece.
