I knew that it would be hard to find a similar font to the one that is the main title "RollingStone" but eventually I found one. I found it on Dafont and it was called Royal Acid and Royal Acidbath as it was two fonts that you had to put together to create the effect it has above (3 colours). I then adjusted it to a similar height, width and size.

Next, I noticed that the rest of the text was the same typeface so there was only 3 typefaces used on the cover. I used FontDoc to help me find a similar and this is the one is the one I chose, it is Blackoak std. As you can see, the width of the typeface is a lot wider and shorter. So I altered the size, the width, the height and the tracking until it looked like that. As you can see, it's not perfect but it's as close to the original that I could find. The smaller writing on the cover such as: "On the Bus With Willie Nelson" is the exact same typeface. All I had to was alter the size and the horizontal and vertical scale.

Here is the image that I used for my magazine. As you can see it has been edited. I took this image on my phone camera because as you can see in the original magazine cover, the image is poor quality and I wanted to use a similar quality for mine. I also created a shadow effect on photoshop similar to the original and I also created lighting on the right side of his face.
Here it is completed and looking as similar to the original as I can make it.
And here it more close up.
